EXPLORE THE GREAT BARRIER REEF
DIVE PORT DOUGLAS
Scuba IQ are more than just a reef tour company, we are the only independent, and locally owned dive operator in Port Douglas, and have redefined scuba diving experiences on the Great Barrier Reef. By specialising in privately guided dive trips, and private or small-group dive courses.
With a small but expert team of local dive instructors who have dived all over the globe, we offer an unrivalled level of experience, with our team holding instructor-level qualifications for PADI, SDI, and TDI training agencies. This also makes us the only multi-agency dive center in the region, able to provide our divers with a range of courses to suit their needs.
Apart from our dedication to expert instruction and dive guiding, one of our biggest goals is to encourage divers to enjoy the sport in an environmentally friendly way. This goes hand in hand with learning better, safer dive skills. Also, as part of our commitment to protecting the aquatic world, we were the first dive operator in Australia and New Zealand to be awarded PADI 'Eco-Center' status
It's no secret that the Great Barrier Reef is one of the world's premier scuba diving destinations, with incredible locations to suit all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and our amazing crew of dive professionals can't wait to welcome you here!

FOCUS
SCUBA IQ has been operating since 2016, and after humble beginnings that consisted of a few sets of dive gear and one instructor: Martin; we have now become one of the most highly regarded scuba diving operators on the Great Barrier Reef. The focus of our operation is to bring fun and adventure to our guest's scuba diving trips on the Great Barrier, with the core philosophy being to offer highly personalised experiences in small or private group settings. This means that while we make use of space on a number of larger vessels, we can be free from the crowds of larger dive groups, allowing us to tailor the diving trip to your interests and abilities.
Since our early days, we have grown from taking a few divers out to the reef, and teaching a handful of open water courses each year, to now taking divers on some of the best scuba diving adventures imaginable. Apart from guided, and introductory diving, or the courses that we love to teach; we also take divers to the farthest reaches of the Great Barrier Reef, and the Coral Sea, to explore the most amazing sites in this part of the world. Every June and July, Minke whale season is a highlight for us, and each year, a lucky few get to join us for some oversized mammal action with the ocean's friendliest whales.
Our latest addition has been international trips, to amazing locations such as Puerto Galera in the Philippines.
We couldn't have achieved any of this without the people we have surrounded ourselves with over the years, each of them bringing their own extensive experience and skills, and helping us deliver these fantastic dive trips to divers from all over the world, year after year.
